Kenny Williams and Urban Warfare Celebrate Former Mentee’s Academic Achievement in Aviation
Urban Warfare, a non-profit organization founded by Kenny Williams, is proud to announce the remarkable achievement of Frederick Nyekan, a former mentee who recently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Aviation Flight Technology from Thomas Edison University. This milestone marks the culmination of a seven-year mentorship journey that began when Frederick was just 16 years old.
Kenny Williams, a dedicated mentor and advocate for youth empowerment, first met Frederick in 2017. Recognizing Frederick’s potential and passion for aviation, Kenny worked closely with him, providing guidance, resources, and support to help him achieve his dreams. As part of his commitment to enriching young lives, Kenny coordinated a memorable field trip to an aircraft hangar on May 23, 2017. The visit, which was attended by Frederick and other students, offered a firsthand look at the aviation industry and featured a coordinated flight using Infinity Flight Group aircraft and an instructor.
The experience was transformative for Frederick, who was inspired to pursue a career in aviation. Under Kenny’s mentorship, he not only gained technical knowledge but also received valuable life skills, encouragement, and networking opportunities that contributed to his academic success and professional development.
Reflecting on the mentorship, Frederick stated, “Kenny’s guidance was a major turning point for me. The field trip sparked my passion for aviation, and the continued support from him and Urban Warfare gave me the confidence to pursue my goals.”
Kenny Williams expressed his pride in Frederick’s accomplishment: “Watching Frederick grow from a young student with a spark of interest in aviation to a college graduate ready to take on the skies has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. His dedication and hard work are a true testament to the impact of mentorship, and I am excited to see where his journey takes him next.”
Urban Warfare’s mission is to empower youth through mentorship, education, and community engagement. By providing young people with hands-on experiences and access to resources, the organization aims to bridge the gap between potential and opportunity. Frederick’s story exemplifies the transformative power of this mission and serves as an inspiration to other students pursuing their dreams.
Urban Warfare plans to continue its outreach efforts, offering similar programs including an aviation program coming this Spring, along with other opportunities to help young people realize their full potential.
